Are you passionate about computing and committed to helping learners develop the digital skills needed for today's technology-driven world? The Manchester College is seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Computing Teacher to join our growing Digital and Computing team. Initially, you will deliver BTEC Level 3 Computing, helping learners build the technical knowledge and practical skills required to progress into higher education or employment within the digital sector.

As the curriculum evolves, you will also play a key role in delivering Digital T Levels, preparing students for the demands of the modern technology industry. We are looking for a confident and competent computing professional with strong subject knowledge, previous teaching, training or mentoring experience, and a genuine passion for inspiring learners. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of digital talent within a supportive and forward-thinking department.

Role Responsibilities

Deliver BTEC Level 3 Computing and Digital T Levels, preparing students for the digital sector, ensuring curriculum development aligns with industry standards, and contributing positively to planning processes.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
  • Certificate of education or PGCE.
  • Current and valid industry specialism.
  • Assessor qualifications (if required by Awarding Organisation).
  • English and maths minimum level 2 Grace C or grade 4 and above.
  • Significant experience of delivering outstanding teaching and learning.
  • Proven track record of high-quality teaching in delivering subject specialism or current valid industry specialism.
  • Working as a team.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Meet delivery targets and plans.
  • Accurate and timely reports and records.
  • Positive contribution to planning processes.
