We are seeking a motivated and collaborative individual to join our team as a Teaching and Learning Administrator (Programmes and Curriculum). This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the administration within the School of Biological Sciences working in a dynamic and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities- To be responsible for the administration of Teaching and Learning, and Student Administration activities for the team assigned.
- To supervise and coordinate the work of teaching and learning, and Student Administration and act as a point of reference.
- To provide information, advice and guidance to stakeholders.
- To work flexibly as required across the University, supporting the delivery of university and local priorities, operating at all times as a single cross University team.
- To have awareness and active engagement with the need for diversity and inclusion in all that we do for example, when working with individuals who identify with a protected characteristic under the Equality Act, students who are under‑represented in higher education as outlined in the University's widening participation strategy.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience- Relevant knowledge and experience of teaching and learning and/or student administration policies and procedures.
- Flexible and responsive to customer needs, with excellent communication skills and the ability to provide information, advice and guidance while maintaining confidentiality.
- Ability to supervise staff and coordinate work activities.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise a range of work activities in a busy environment and meet strict deadlines.
- Experience of working in a team environment within a large organisation, with the ability to be flexible and support colleagues.
- Good analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
- Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong digital literacy skills, with experience of, or willingness to be trained in, relevant systems.
- A commitment to the University’s core values and to providing high‑quality support to students, staff and stakeholders.
- Experience of working in higher education administration.
- Experience of working with University systems (e.g. Campus Solutions, Canvas).
- Experience of working in a customer service environment.
- Experience of supporting field courses, placements, or similar activities.
