The governing body is seeking to appoint one SEN teaching assistant (level
2) to support our SEN pupils to achieve their full potential across the curriculum. This will range from supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis.
- Support SEN pupils mainly in Key Stage 2, and in the Communication, Language and Interaction Resourced Provision of our diverse school.
- Show a commitment to engaging with professional development and follow the directions of the class teacher to ensure a high quality education.
- Implement the school’s curriculum, including adaptations for students with SEN needs and intervention programmes, to a high standard.
- Work effectively as part of a team, show initiative and adapt teaching to meet individual pupils’ needs.
- Provide accurate feedback to the class teacher and communicate effectively.
- Relevant teaching qualifications for a level 2 SEN teaching assistant (equivalent to level 2 SEN TAE if possible).
- Experience working with pupils with SEND, including those with EHCPs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching and support to meet individual pupils’ needs.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.

Ashbury Meadow Primary School is a two‑form entry primary school with a Nursery and Resourced Provision located in Beswick, close to Manchester city centre and the Etihad stadium. We have 460 pupils and a vibrant multilingual community dedicated to ensuring all pupils reach their full potential.
