Job: Automotive Lecturer (Full-Time, Permanent)

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: 35000 to 47000 per year
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Automotive Lecturer to join a thriving Further Education college in Greater Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire the next generation of automotive professionals while shaping the future of the industry through high-quality teaching and learning.
About the RoleAs an Automotive Lecturer, you will deliver engaging and practical lessons across a range of automotive programmes, supporting learners to develop the technical skills, knowledge, and behaviours required for successful careers in the motor vehicle industry. You will plan and deliver high-quality teaching, assess learner progress, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality teaching across automotive programmes.
- Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with awarding body requirements.
- Support learners to achieve their qualifications and career aspirations.
- Maintain accurate learner records and monitor attendance and progress.
- Create an inclusive, safe, and engaging learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and industry partners.
- Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure workshop health and safety standards are maintained at all times.
- A recognised Level 3 qualification (or above) in Motor Vehicle or Automotive Engineering.
- Recent industry experience within the automotive sector.
- A passion for developing learners and sharing technical knowledge.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting learner welfare.
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent).
- Assessor and/or Internal Quality Assurer qualifications.
- Experience teaching in Further Education or apprenticeships.
- Knowledge of hybrid and electric vehicle technologies.
Applicants without a teaching qualification may be considered and supported to achieve one while in post.
