Contract: Full-time | Term-Time Only
Pay: £93–£115 per day (depending on experience)

We are working with a number of welcoming and inclusive secondary schools in Gorton and the surrounding areas who are looking to recruit dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join their teams from September.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with a range of additional needs, helping them access education, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.
Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Assisting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including:
- Autism (ASC)
- ADHD
- Speech, Language & Communication Needs
- Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH)
- Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
Encouraging engagement and participation in lessons
Promoting independence and positive learning behaviours
Supporting teachers with classroom activities and differentiated learning
Implementing behaviour support strategies and de-escalation techniques where required
Helping create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Experience working with children or young people is essential
, including:
- SEN support
- Teaching Assistant experience
- Youth work
- Residential or support work
- Behaviour mentoring
- Sports coaching
- Care work
- Children's residential settings
A patient, caring, and resilient approach
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong behaviour management and the ability to build positive relationships
A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
