About the role
The Young People You'll Meet Won't Remember Every Lesson. But they'll remember the people who never gave up on them.
As a Student Support Mentor, you'll become one of those people. Working within specialist SEMH schools, PRUs, Alternative Provision academies and community‑based programmes, you'll support young people aged 11‑19 who may have experienced trauma, disrupted education or significant barriers to learning. You'll help them rebuild confidence, develop resilience, celebrate progress, and believe that education still has a place in their future.

£14‑16 per hour / £105‑120 per day
Working across Greater Manchester- Bolton
- Bury
- Manchester
- Oldham
- Rochdale
- Salford
- Stockport
- Tameside
- Trafford
- Wigan
You will need at least one year's experience supporting young people with SEMH, EBD or complex needs within education, youth work or community settings. An Enhanced DBS, Level 2 Safeguarding, DBS Update Service registration, two professional references and the right to work in the UK are essential.
