Are you confident, adaptable, and passionate about supporting students in their learning journey? Emerald Teaching is seeking a Cover Supervisor to work in schools across Manchester, helping maintain a positive learning environment in the absence of regular teaching staff.

• Supervise and manage classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain focused and engaged in their work.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students follow the outlined instructions.
• Support students with any questions or challenges related to the tasks set.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively, fostering a positive and respectful learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure smooth lesson transitions and address any arising issues.

• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Experience working with young people (preferred but not essential).
• A positive and proactive approach, with the ability to adapt to different settings.
• Confidence in supervising a classroom and ensuring a productive learning environment.
• Enhanced DBS check (on the update service or willingness to obtain one).
