A welcoming and supportive specialist SEN school in Levenshulme is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from September. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and moderate to severe learning difficulties.
Working alongside a skilled team of teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff, you will create a nurturing, structured, and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
- Plan and deliver creative, personalised lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with SEND.
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies where appropriate.
- Create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, the SENCO, and other professionals to support pupils' development.
- Develop positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues.
- Promote positive behaviour using consistent and supportive behaviour management strategies.
- Implement EHCP targets and contribute to personalised learning plans.
- Fulfil all professional responsibilities in line with the Teachers' Standards.
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has experience teaching pupils with SEND or a strong interest in specialist education.
- Has a strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and differentiated learning.
- Has confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Is patient, adaptable, and committed to helping every pupil achieve their full potential.
- Has the right to work in the UK and is available full-time.
- Experience working within a specialist SEN school.
- Knowledge of Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, or complex learning needs.
- Experience implementing EHCP targets and personalised learning plans.
- Team Teach or other positive behaviour management training.
- Free access to CPD and safeguarding training.
- Dedicated consultant and ongoing support.
- Competitive rates of pay paid to scale.

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS (child workforce), satisfactory references, and full compliance with KCSIE (2025) guidance and safer recruitment standards. Overseas police checks may be required where applicable.
