Are you passionate about transforming the lives of young people who need a fresh start in education? We are seeking an inspiring and resilient Maths Teacher to join our Alternative Provision team, supporting Key Stage 4 learners who have been excluded from mainstream education settings.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work with small groups of students, helping them re-engage with learning, rebuild confidence, and achieve recognised qualifications in Maths. The successful candidate will deliver the EDEXCEL Maths curriculum.

We are recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join our Alternative Provision team at Openshaw Campus. You will deliver engaging and creative EDEXCEL Maths lessons to Key Stage 4 learners, supporting students with a range of social, emotional, and behavioural needs.

This is on a fixed-term (until 31 st July 2027), part-time (17.5 hours per week) basis.

Working closely with pastoral staff and wider support teams, you will play a key role in helping learners overcome barriers to education, improve attendance and engagement, and achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally.

Success in this role will require excellent communication skills, strong behaviour management, empathy, resilience, and a genuine commitment to inclusive education.

At The Manchester College, you will be supported by our Teaching Academy to work towards qualified teacher status for post 16 compulsory education, through a Cert Ed/PGCE. The starting salary for an unqualified teacher is between £30,750 – £32,931*.…
