Teaching Personnel is delighted to be partnering with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Levenshulme to recruit a committed SEN Teaching Assistant
. This rewarding role will involve supporting pupils with speech and language needs
, helping them develop essential communication skills, confidence, and independence within a nurturing learning environment.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, ensuring they can access learning and achieve their individual goals.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing targeted support for pupils with speech and language difficulties
• Delivering tailored interventions alongside the SENCO, class teachers, and external specialists
• Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence, and social development
• Creating and maintaining an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
• Monitoring progress and contributing to Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and pupil reviews

We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and committed to helping every pupil succeed.

You will have:

• Previous experience supporting children with speech and language needs (

• A patient, caring, and proactive approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team
• SEN-related training or qualifications (
  desirable
  )
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
