Full-time, Monday to Friday Are you passionate about supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)? Do you have the patience, creativity and commitment to help pupils develop their communication, independence and confidence?

Cover People are recruiting a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist primary setting in Trafford.

This rewarding role involves supporting children aged 3-11 with a range of complex SEND needs, with a particular focus on pupils with Autism and social communication difficulties.

The school provides a highly personalised curriculum, small class sizes and a nurturing environment where every child is supported to achieve their full potential.

Support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition and associated communication needs.

Deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions tailored to individual EHCP targets.

Use visual supports, structured routines and communication strategies to promote engagement.

Support the development of social, emotional and independence skills.

Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and families to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.

Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.

Previous experience working with children with Autism and SEND.

Knowledge of communication strategies such as PECS, Makaton or visual timetables is desirable.

A patient, calm and nurturing approach.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
