Are you a confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant, or an Early Career Teacher looking to build your classroom experience before taking on your own class?

Premier Education is recruiting HLTAs and ECTs for opportunities in welcoming primary schools across Trafford from September 2026.

These roles offer the chance to strengthen your classroom practice, gain experience across different year groups and develop your confidence leading lessons. You'll work alongside experienced teachers and supportive school teams while making a genuine contribution to pupils' learning and progress.

Opportunities are available across Trafford, including Sale, Altrincham, Stretford, Urmston and the surrounding areas. Many locations are also accessible for applicants travelling from Manchester, Salford, Stockport and other parts of Greater Manchester.

For experienced HLTAs, these opportunities provide greater classroom responsibility and the chance to use your skills across whole-class teaching, group work and targeted interventions.

For ECTs, they offer a valuable way to:

• Build confidence leading a class

• Strengthen behaviour management skills

• Gain experience across different year groups and school settings

• Develop your teaching style without immediately taking on full class responsibility

• Work alongside experienced teachers and senior leaders

• Add recent, relevant classroom experience to your CV

• Explore different schools before committing to a permanent teaching position

Depending on the school and placement, your responsibilities may include:

• Providing high-quality classroom support across the primary age range

• Delivering pre-planned lessons in the class teacher's absence

• Leading whole-class, small-group and intervention activities

• Supporting pupils' academic progress, wellbeing and engagement

• Adapting activities to meet different learning needs

• Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining a purposeful classroom environment

• Working closely with teachers, support staff and senior leaders

• Contributing to an inclusive environment in which every pupil can succeed

• A qualified HLTA with relevant primary school experience, or an ECT with UK Qualified Teacher Status

• Confident leading lessons and learning activities independently

• Able to establish clear expectations and manage behaviour positively

• Comfortable working across different year groups

• Adaptable, proactive and willing to become part of a school team

• Passionate about supporting children's learning and development

• A strong communicator who can quickly build positive relationships

• Legally entitled to work in the UK-we are unable to offer visa sponsorship

• In possession of an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willing to obtain one

• Competitive daily pay of 105- 125
