SEND & SEMH Teaching Assistant - Experienced Primary Support
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant who has worked with children with a range of SEND and SEMH needs?
Aspire People are recruiting experienced support staff to work within inclusive primary schools where pupils may require additional academic, social, emotional, and behavioural support.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who enjoys variety and wants to use their existing experience to make a meaningful difference across the school day.
You may support pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, learning difficulties, or behavioural needs , depending on the individual school and pupil requirements.
The Role May Include:- 1:1 and small-group SEND support
- Supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
- Delivering targeted interventions
- Supporting literacy, numeracy, phonics, and communication
- Helping pupils regulate emotions and manage behaviour
- Supporting children during lessons, transitions, and unstructured times
- Working closely with teachers and SENCOs
- Helping pupils develop independence and confidence
- Recent experience working within a UK school
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND and/or SEMH
- Strong understanding of inclusive classroom practice
- Confident supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
- Patient, adaptable, and proactive approach
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Variety of SEND/SEMH opportunities across primary schools
