We’re currently recruiting for a Science Teacher in Swinton to join a supportive secondary school on a long-term basis. Your Main Responsibilities
  • Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics across the secondary curriculum where appropriate

  • Preparing resources and adapting lessons to meet different learning needs

  • Assessing student progress and providing appropriate feedback

  • Building positive relationships with students and staff

  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively and maintaining high expectations

  • Supporting pupils to develop their confidence, scientific knowledge and understanding

  • Contributing to the wider life of the Science department and school community

Requirements or Skills
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching Science at secondary level

  • Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum

  • Ability to teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics at KS3/KS4 is desirable

  • Confident classroom and behaviour management skills

  • A professional and positive classroom presence

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • A commitment to supporting students to achieve their full potential

  • A genuine interest in securing a long-term Science Teacher role in Swinton
