Teacher Active is proud to be working with a large mainstream secondary school based in Stockport who are looking to appoint an English Teacher. The school provides education for students across the secondary age range and is looking for a committed teacher who can positively contribute to the school environment.

The school is looking to take on an English Teacher on a long-term basis from September, teaching English across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4. The successful English Teacher will be expected to plan and deliver engaging lessons, manage classroom behaviour effectively and support students of varying abilities with their progress.

The successful English Teacher will have:

QTS with an English specialism (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)

Experience teaching English across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4

Strong knowledge of the English curriculum

Excellent classroom management

Strong communication and organisational skills

A positive and adaptable approach to teaching
