This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is patient, compassionate and confident building positive relationships with children who may communicate in different ways.

The Role

As a Communication Support Assistant, you will:

Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with communication and additional needs.
Help children engage with lessons, activities and the wider school environment.
Adapt your communication and support to suit individual pupils.
Build trusting relationships and encourage pupils to develop their confidence and independence.
Work closely with teachers and the wider SEN team to provide consistent support.
Support pupils who may display challenging or distressed behaviour, using a calm and positive approach.

What We're Looking For

You don't necessarily need previous experience in exactly the same role. We are interested in candidates with transferable experience, including those who have worked in:

Youth work or mentoring
Residential or community support
Most importantly, you'll be patient, reliable, resilient and genuinely passionate about making a difference to children's lives.

Why Apply?

You'll be joining a school where your support can have a genuine impact on pupils' communication, confidence and day-to-day progress. You'll also have the opportunity to develop your SEN experience and build a rewarding career within education.

If you're looking for a role where no two days are the same and where your patience, personality and ability to connect with children really matter, we'd love to hear from you.
