We have an exciting opportunity at our City Campus Manchester to join our Supported Learning Department as aSEND Support Practitioner on a permanent, full-time (35 hours per week), term-time only (over 39 weeks) basis.
We are seeking a SEND Support Practitioner with experience of supporting students with Dyslexia at our City Centre campus. Collaborative working with Exam Access Arrangements (EAA) Assessors and working with wider support services is a key element of the role.
Key responsibilities including providing small group and 1:1 support to students outside the classroom, in Study Hubs and independent learning spaces, developing effective study strategies, organisation skills and confidence.
You will contribute to an inclusive and supportive learning environment. You will require a good standard of English, both written and verbal and critically, an understanding of Dyslexia and its impact on learning. You will require strong interpersonal skills and to build rapport with students, together with a proactive, flexible, and supportive approach. This post is specifically supporting adult students with Dyslexia/SpLD.
