Educate GM is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the heart of Moston, Manchester, supporting a KS2 classroom from September 2026.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or someone with relevant experience supporting pupils in a primary school setting.

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with the class teacher to support pupils' learning, development, and wellbeing across the school day. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom management and lesson delivery
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils who need extra help with their learning
• Helping pupils access the curriculum and participate fully in lessons
• Supporting pupils' confidence, independence, and social skills
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
• Preparing learning resources and materials under the teacher's direction
• Supporting pupils' emotional and social development
• Helping create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
• Monitoring pupil progress and feeding back to the class teacher

The school is looking for someone patient, reliable, and enthusiastic, with a genuine passion for helping children thrive in the classroom.

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar classroom support role is desirable, and experience supporting pupils with additional needs (such as SEN, communication difficulties, or SEMH) would be an advantage but is not essential. A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.

• Have experience working with primary-age children (SEND experience desirable, not essential)
• Be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS Disclosure
• Be subject to Overseas Police Clearance, if applicable
• Provide two satisfactory professional references
• Provide a CV covering the last 10 years of employment history where possible, with any gaps explained
• Have the legal right to work in the UK
