Experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant - Primary School

Do you have a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification and recent experience working in a UK primary school?

Aspire People are currently recruiting experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistants for primary schools from September 2026.

We're looking for reliable and enthusiastic practitioners who already understand the demands of working in a school and can confidently support pupils both academically and pastorally.

This is ideal for a TA who has built up solid classroom experience and wants to secure a new role for the upcoming academic year.

The Role:
  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
  • Assisting with classroom learning and differentiated activities
  • Supporting Reading, Writing and Maths
  • Delivering basic interventions under teacher direction
  • Supporting pupils with SEND where required
  • Helping maintain positive classroom routines
  • Supporting behaviour and pupil engagement
  • Supervising pupils during break times and transitions
  • Helping pupils develop confidence and independence
  • Working closely with the class teacher and wider support team
We're Looking For:
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Recent experience working within a UK primary school
  • Good understanding of the primary curriculum
  • Experience supporting classroom learning and/or interventions
  • Confident working with primary-aged children
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Patient, adaptable and nurturing approach
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education

Candidates with experience supporting SEND, SEMH or pupils with additional learning needs would be particularly attractive to many of our partner schools.
