About the role

Reporting to the Learning and Skills Manager, you will:

  • play a key role in developing excellent services to support teaching and learning within Library & Cultural Services.
  • support students' transition into and through university study, helping them develop the academic, information and digital skills they need to become confident, independent learners. This will include supporting the development and delivery of the co-curricular and embedded learning and skills programme, including scheduling, promotion, data and feedback collection and analysis.
  • provide a high standard of customer service, answering staff and student enquiries, and maintaining support and guidance materials.
  • contribute to the design and delivery of inclusive, engaging online and in-person learning opportunities, collaborating with Academic Liaison Librarians, Library Student Partners and colleagues across Library & Cultural Services and the wider University.
  • co-create services and learning activities with students to ensure the student voice is embedded throughout everything we do.
About you

You are passionate about supporting student learning and creating welcoming, inclusive learning experiences that enable all students to develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed. You enjoy building positive relationships and working collaboratively with colleagues and students across a diverse university community.

You are organised, proactive and adaptable, with strong digital skills and confidence using a range of technologies. You will be comfortable and confident about delivering teaching and support, creating engaging learning resources and contributing to innovative approaches that enhance teaching, learning and the student experience.
