Salary: £95-£110 per day, dependent on experience

Full-time, long-term

The Role
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
  • Support pupils to access the curriculum and participate fully in lessons.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff to provide personalised support.
  • Support pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH, communication needs and learning difficulties.
  • Help pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills.
  • Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
  • Assist with differentiated learning activities and interventions.
  • Implement strategies outlined in pupils' EHCPs and individual support plans.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Encourage engagement and help pupils achieve their individual goals.
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN/SEND.
  • Experience in a school, specialist provision, PRU, care or youth work setting.
  • A patient, calm and nurturing approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to remain resilient when supporting challenging or dysregulated behaviour.
  • A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a wider team.
  • Experience supporting pupils with autism, complex needs, SEMH, ADHD or challenging behaviour would be highly desirable.
  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is advantageous but not essential where the candidate has relevant experience.
