SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Salford
Pay: 110 per day, depending on experience
Contract: Full-time, temporary ongoing
Start Date: ASAP
Are you a caring, patient and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
We're working with a welcoming SEN school in Salford that is looking for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team and provide valuable support to pupils with additional needs.
The Role- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN
- Support children with needs such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH, communication difficulties and learning difficulties
- Help pupils engage with learning and develop their confidence and independence
- Support positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised support
- Assist with classroom activities and adapted learning
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
- A calm, patient and nurturing approach
- Confident supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis
- Good understanding of behaviour management and safeguarding
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A relevant TA/SEN qualification is desirable but not essential
