Hair and Media Makeup Lecturer

Rate: 30 - 35 per hour

Eden Brown are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Hair & Media Makeup Lecturer to join a Further Education college in Greater Manchester on a temporary basis, working 3 days per week. (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday). This is an excellent opportunity for an industry-experienced professional who is passionate about education and committed to supporting students to develop their technical skills, creativity and confidence.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching across Level 2 and Level 3 Diplomas in Hair & Media Makeup, helping students develop the practical and theoretical skills required for progression into employment, apprenticeships or further study.

You will:

• Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory-based Hair & Media Makeup lessons.
• Teach and assess students working towards Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications.
• Demonstrate current industry techniques and professional standards.
• Provide constructive feedback and support students to achieve their qualifications.
• Maintain accurate assessment and student progress records.
• Create an inclusive, supportive and inspiring learning environment.
• Keep your subject knowledge and industry practice up to date.
• Support students with their progression into the hair, makeup, media and wider creative industries.

We are looking for someone with:

• Relevant experience in Hair & Media Makeup.
• Strong practical skills and up-to-date knowledge of industry techniques.
• Experience of teaching, training or assessing within Further Education or a similar environment.
• A relevant teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
• Knowledge of Level 2 and Level 3 Hair & Media Makeup qualifications.
• Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.

A DBS is also needed for this role.
