Teaching Assistant
Location: South Manchester
Pay: £94 to £100 per day
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about helping young people succeed?
Teaching Personnel is recruiting a confident and committed Teaching Assistant for full-time work in a secondary school in South Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure consistent work, become part of a supportive school community and make a genuine difference to students throughout the academic year.
You will work with pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4,
providing classroom, small-group and one-to-one support
. The role may involve supporting students with SEND, SEMH needs or barriers to learning, so patience, resilience and strong relationship-building skills will be essential.
- Support students during lessons and help them remain engaged with their learning
- Provide one-to-one and small-group interventions
- Assist pupils with SEND, SEMH or additional learning needs
- Help teachers create an inclusive and positive classroom environment
- Build professional and supportive relationships with students
- Encourage pupils to develop their confidence, independence and academic skills
- Promote positive behaviour in line with the school's policies
- Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff and the wider SEND team
- Has previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant
- Has worked with secondary-aged pupils or young people
- Is confident supporting students with a range of needs
- Can remain calm, patient and professional in challenging situations
- Is reliable and available for full-time work
- Is passionate about improving outcomes for young people
