About Ada

Ada, the National College for Digital Skills, is on a mission to empower the next generation of diverse digital talent. We are launching our new 16-19 provision in Manchester in September 2026 to help address the UK’s £63 billion digital skills gap. You will join an institution that combines high-quality education with deep industry partnerships to diversify the tech sector and transform lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and promote high attendance levels, intervening quickly when learners fall below benchmarks.
  • Conduct one-to-one appointments and progress reviews to remove barriers to participation.
  • Reinforce Ada’s values of curiosity, collaboration, and rigor to support professional behaviour in college and workplace settings.
  • Provide equitable support for disadvantaged learners, students with SEND, high needs, or those known to social care.
  • Educate learners on mental and physical health, online safety, healthy relationships, and fundamental British values.
  • Design and deliver a tailored enrichment program and structured careers education.
  • Assist the 16-19 team with outreach, recruitment, admissions, marketing, and hosting events across Greater Manchester.
Person Specification
  • Experience working with young people (aged 11-18 or 16-19) in an educational or pastoral setting is essential.
  • You must possess a genuine passion for the potential of every learner and an educational vision aligned with our high aspirations.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills are required.
  • You must demonstrate resilience, a “can-do” attitude, and the ability to manage complex caseloads.
  • Knowledge of the tech sector and the specific barriers faced by young people in Greater Manchester is desirable.
  • 30 days holiday (to be taken during term holidays).
  • Aviva pension scheme with a 10% employer contribution.
  • Wellbeing support, including free financial coaching, paid mental health days, and free counselling services.
  • Comprehensive CPD package and discounts including UNIDAYS and Everyone Active Gym membership.

Please note that we cannot offer sponsorship for this role; applicants must have the legal right to work and remain in the UK.
