We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming two-form entry primary school in Toxteth (L8).

Within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), children are encouraged to explore, discover, and develop through a wide range of engaging learning opportunities. As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils throughout their early learning journey. Working closely with the class teacher and wider EYFS team, you will help create a positive and engaging classroom environment that supports children's academic, social, and emotional development.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting teaching and learning activities across the EYFS curriculum
• Assisting with phonics, literacy, and numeracy sessions
• Encouraging learning through play and structured activities
• Supporting individual pupils and small groups to meet their learning goals
• Helping to maintain a safe, caring, and inclusive classroom environment
• Contributing to the assessment and monitoring of pupil progress

• A caring and enthusiastic individual with a genuine passion for working with young children
• Previous experience within a school setting, ideally in EYFS
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A patient, positive, and adaptable approach
• A good understanding of child development and early years education
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
