Are you currently studying to become a primary teacher and looking to gain more practical experience in schools while earning alongside your studies?
Aspire People are looking for student teachers to support primary schools across Manchester through flexible daily supply opportunities. This is an excellent way to build classroom confidence, develop behaviour management skills and gain experience across different year groups before qualifying.
The Role May Include:- Working as a Teaching Assistant to support classroom learning
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support
- Assisting with phonics, reading, writing and Maths activities
- Supporting classroom routines and positive behaviour
- Helping pupils with SEND access learning
- Taking on additional classroom responsibilities where experience and suitability allow
- Working across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Flexible daily work around university and placement commitments
- Opportunities to experience different schools and teaching approaches
- Practical classroom experience to complement your studies
- The chance to develop relationships with schools and build your professional network
- Opportunities to explore longer-term roles as your availability changes
- Currently studying towards a primary teaching qualification or equivalent teacher-training route
- Some experience working with children is desirable
- A genuine interest in primary education
- A reliable, adaptable and professional approach
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to safeguarding
Candidates with relevant qualifications and experience may also be considered for higher-level classroom support opportunities.
