Permanent full-time Teaching Assistant post at Ss John Fisher & Thomas More Catholic Primary School, appointed by Corpus Christi Catholic Academy Trust. The role centres on supporting pupils with behavioural needs, leading pastoral support and running therapy and programmes of work in small groups under teacher supervision. It suits someone with experience of pupils with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, within a Catholic multi-academy trust.
The start date is 23 November 2026, and the post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
- Work specifically with children who have behavioural needs
- Take a lead role in managing and delivering pastoral support to students
- Work with groups of students under teacher supervision
- Deliver therapy and programmes of work to groups
- Implement individual learning plans (ILPs)
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent
- Strong background in supporting pupils with additional educational needs
- Experience working with children or young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties
- Able to adapt and respond appropriately to challenging situations
- Strong moral and ethical principles and values
- Open to new ideas
- Committed to working as part of a team
- Good sense of humour
- Acts with the utmost integrity at all times
- Enhanced DBS check, exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974
- Satisfactory references
- Proof of right to work in the UK
