Role – Senior Authorised Person (SAP) – 132kV/275kV/400kV (Contract)
Location – Manchester
Mint Selection are supporting a leading energy infrastructure contractor who are seeking an experienced Senior Authorised Person (SAP) on a contract basis to support the safe delivery of HV commissioning, switching and energisation activities on a major transmission project.
This is a key site-based role responsible for ensuring all high voltage operations are carried out safely, in accordance with client safety rules and project procedures, while supporting commissioning and construction teams through to successful energisation.
Scope of Work- Carry out HV switching, isolations and issue safety documentation under client safety rules
- Prepare and implement switching programmes and outage plans
- Support commissioning, testing and energisation activities across HV assets
- Manage Permit to Work, LOTO and electrical safety on site
- Coordinate with commissioning engineers, site teams and subcontractors
- Ensure all HV operations are delivered safely and in line with project requirements
- Support site inspections, incident investigations and safety improvements
- Previous experience operating as a Senior Authorised Person (SAP)
- Proven background working on transmission, substation or major energy infrastructure projects
- Strong experience with HV commissioning, switching and energisation activities
- Excellent knowledge of electrical safety rules and Permit to Work systems
- Ability to work independently whilst coordinating multiple stakeholders on site
- Current or previous SAP authorisation (132kV/275kV/400kV preferred)
- National Grid or DNO authorisations advantageous
- Full UK driving licence
This is an opportunity with an immediate start available.
