Civil Design Engineer ESL

Permanent & Contract Full Time Available Competitive salary.

Hours:

40 hours per week. Role Profile:

• Provide design deliverables that satisfy safety and quality requirements.
• Produce design calculations and drawings for the water industry.
• Direct and develop CAD technicians.
• Prepare design risk assessments, reports and specifications.
• Design in compliance with relevant technical, professional and water company standards.
• Ensure project change for design package is fully implemented and recorded.
• Undertake work using formal processes and procedures.
• Assist with estimating hours required for design packages.
• Attend and present designs at meetings and presentations.

• 5 years’ relevant design experience in the water industry
• Experience in carrying out hydraulic calculations and preparing hydraulic profiles
• Graduate, HND or significant experience from technician level
• Good level of IT skills
• Registered with professional body and working towards chartership

• Full time from our office in Trafford House, M32 0RS
• Occasional site visits for which travel expenses will be paid

Possible on occasional basis when required provided agreed in advance. Hybrid possibility after probation at company discretion.

Varied projects across the UK water industry, including:

• Designs of UMON 3 and 4 upgrades at sewage treatment works nationwide
• Designs of clean water main replacements nationwide

• Experience with both clean and waste water.
• Experience with infra and non-infra designs
• Experience in outline and detailed design
• Awareness of construction methods and materials.
• Knowledge of Engineering Drawing Practices.
• Driving License and Access to vehicle.
