Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Dynamite

Dynamite is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Manchester office. You will work in a hybrid setup with four days in the office and one day at home, giving you flexibility without sacrificing collaboration.

You will design mechanical systems for buildings, covering everything from heating, ventilation and air conditioning. Using Hevacomp, REVIT and AutoCAD, you’ll produce detailed designs, specifications and working drawings. You’ll also head to site to survey, write technical reports and monitor progress, giving you hands‑on experience that few positions offer. Meeting with clients and contractors, you’ll shape projects from start to finish, building your influence and visibility in the industry.

With a structured skills matrix, you can plot your progression, close development gaps and work towards chartered status. The matrix covers 15 categories, giving you the exposure and experience needed to keep moving forward. You’ll work across a variety of sectors, from commercial and education to MOD and retail, so you’ll never be stuck doing the same thing twice. • At least 5 years experience in mechanical building services design.
• Consultancy experience, so you’re familiar with client‑facing work.
• Proficiency with Hevacomp and AutoCAD, as these will be your main tools.
