- Salary range: £65,000 to £76,000 per annum

Manchester or Bristol - Working pattern:
Flexible hybrid – office, client sites, remote
Frazer‑Nash is a systems and engineering technology consultancy specialising in the nuclear and energy sectors. We are seeking a Senior Thermal Hydraulics Consultant to join our Nuclear team.
Responsibilities- Develop new and existing thermal hydraulics models of nuclear plants using modelling codes such as RELAP, GOTHIC, CATHARE, TRACE, VIPRE, S5K.
- Perform fault‑sequence and transient analyses to inform design decisions and support safety case submissions.
- Provide technical expertise on complex thermal‑hydraulic phenomena and model validation.
- Lead and manage technical projects, including client communication, delivery and team coordination.
- Develop new business through bids, client meetings and industry events.
- Mentor colleagues and contribute to professional development and chartered engineering progression.
- Solid understanding of fluid flow, heat transfer, thermal hydraulics and multi‑phase flows.
- Experience with nuclear thermal hydraulics system codes (RELAP, GOTHIC, CATHARE, TRACE, VIPRE, S5K).
- Degree in Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to independently manage and deliver projects.
- Experience writing proposals, client liaison and business development.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Desirable:
Python/matlab coding, leadership of small teams, postgraduate degree.
Pre‑employment screening and UK National Security Vetting clearance required.
