Staff Power Modelling Engineer
Arm invites you to apply for the Staff Power Modelling Engineer position. Join our Power Attainment team in the Solutions Engineering group and help shape the future of chip design.
Job OverviewArm is establishing teams to develop new best‑in‑class silicon platforms for markets such as premium mobile, compute, IoT, AI/ML server, and automotive. The role involves designing, implementing, and fabricating pioneering silicon using the latest SoC process nodes and packaging technologies to demonstrate efficient performance.
ResponsibilitiesJoin a highly focused team where you will analyse and optimise performance per watt of next‑generation solutions using innovative technologies, methodologies, and tools. The role involves simulation, emulation, modelling, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams in design, verification, architecture, SW, and pre/post silicon test. You will build and innovate new processes along the way.
- Develop scalable power models for IPs and SOCs.
- Create and maintain tooling and automation for use‑case power and performance/watt estimation and architecture exploration.
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++.
- System‑level power modelling and performance/power trade‑offs experience.
- Experience with low‑power architecture, power optimisation, and power management.
- Proven track record with data‑driven modelling frameworks.
- Excellent problem‑solving, debugging, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline automation (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab CI).
- Knowledge of database design and management (SQL/No
SQL). - Familiarity with power estimation and analysis tools (Power Artist, Prime Power, Power Pro, Joules).
- Background in machine learning or data analytics for modelling and prediction.
- Knowledge of hardware/software co‑design, system modelling, or architecture exploration.
