At Cox Automotive Europe, we’re transforming how our customers buy, sell, and manage vehicles. Our Product Engineering team builds and maintains the technology that powers Manheim Auctions — a platform trusted across the UK to process hundreds of vehicle transactions every day.

We’re now looking for a Senior Test Engineer who doesn’t just “do testing,” but takes full ownership of Quality — someone who thrives on making things better, driving QA excellence, and proactively shaping how testing is done across our products and teams.

As a Senior Test Engineer, you’ll be the force pushing quality to new heights. You will:

• Own and drive the QA process end‑to‑end
  , setting the bar for quality across multiple systems.
• Develop ambitious test strategies that ensure full coverage, reliability, and performance
  .
• Lead the design and execution of high‑quality automated tests using modern tools and frameworks.
• Champion continuous improvement — identifying opportunities to optimise, automate, and evolve how we test.
• Partner closely with developers, product managers, and engineering leaders to influence decision‑making early and often.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers, helping raise the capability and quality mindset of the entire team.
• Bring a proactive, problem‑solving approach to defects, performance bottlenecks, and risk.

We’re looking for someone who is energetic about doing things better, pushing boundaries, and owning the testing craft.

• Strong knowledge of web technologies
• Hands‑on programming experience (C# ideal)
• Experience with Playwright, Cypress
  , or similar automation tools
• API testing know‑how (Postman, SoapUI, Rest Sharp)
• Cloud experience (AWS or Azure)
• Docker familiarity
• K6 or other performance testing tools
• Experience working in Agile teams using Git workflows

• Understanding of risk‑based testing
• Database knowledge
• Experience testing complex integrations

• You communicate clearly and confidently with technical and non‑technical teams
• You naturally focus on value, risk reduction, and improving delivery
• You thrive in a fast‑moving environment with multiple priorities
• You’re collaborative, curious, and comfortable taking initiative
• You’re able to work independently while still lifting the team around you
