Energy Consultant
London | Hybrid
An independent sustainability and engineering consultancy is looking to hire an Energy Consultant to support the delivery of low‑carbon building strategies across a varied project portfolio.
The RoleYou’ll work on new build and refurbishment projects, providing energy modelling, compliance and performance advice to inform design decisions and decarbonisation strategies. The role blends hands‑on technical delivery with client‑facing consultancy.
What You’ll Do- Develop energy and carbon strategies for buildings
- Deliver modelling using IES VE and SAP
- Undertake Part L, EPC and overheating assessments (TM52, TM59, Part O)
- Support daylight and natural ventilation studies
- Translate technical outputs into clear advice for clients
- Contribute to reports, proposals and project meetings
- Degree in engineering or a related discipline
- 2+ years’ experience in energy or sustainability consultancy
- Practical experience with IES VE and SAP
- Strong understanding of HVAC and low‑energy design
- Confident communicator with good data analysis skills
