Automation Field Engineer
We are recruiting for the Permanent Position of an Automation Field Engineer. Our client is an international company manufacturing and installing bespoke automated cutting‑edge machines in manufacturing facilities across the UK, Europe and worldwide. The role offers a basic salary of £44,000–£45,000 plus overtime pay, a company car, pension, 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays, and additional benefits.
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications- Electrical Bias with some mechanical experience
- HND or HNC qualified
- Apprentice trained
- Read planned machine drawings
- Experience with PLCs and machine automation control systems
- Proven experience with fault‑finding, servicing and machine installation
- Confident working with complex automated machinery
- Confident working alone or as part of a team
- Ability to work with customers and complete technical reports and documentation
- Ability to travel and stay away from home for services, new machine installations or training on new machines
- Hold a full UK driving license
