In an Apprentice role you will work on exciting, ground‑breaking projects from day one, with support to grow in your chosen discipline as well as training to develop the core skills needed to succeed in a professional organisation. We have an exciting opportunity in our transport planning group for an apprentice to join our experienced team who are engaged in all aspects of traffic and transportation planning including transport assessments for new developments, master planning, urban regeneration projects, sustainable transport feasibility schemes and travel plans.

You will develop your general understanding of civil engineering and planning whilst learning new skills and understanding how your role plays a part in the successful delivery of projects while meeting client expectations.

Typical Duties Could Involve
  • Assisting in the preparation of Transport Assessments and Travel Plans
  • Developing sustainable transport solutions
  • Highway design including use of CAD
  • Analysis of data and drawings of transport improvements including junction designs
  • Preparing Technical reports to support planning applications
  • Site and Access Appraisals
  • Liaising with clients and stakeholders

This position will include day release to complete a fully funded professionally accredited apprenticeship at a local university.

This position offers an exciting opportunity where you can gain invaluable 'hands' on experience and gain a degree.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 A levels grade A*-B including Maths and Science or equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs Grade (9-6/ A*-C) including Maths and English
Skills
  • MS Office skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong numeracy, analytical and report writing skills with an attention to detail
