A confidential and rapidly growing engineering organisation operating in the renewable energy sector is seeking an Electrical Engineer with strong power electronics experience to support the development and deployment of next-generation energy systems.
The company operates within the solar and energy conversion space, designing and integrating advanced electrical systems used in modern renewable power infrastructure.
This is an opportunity to join a technically driven team where you will contribute directly to power electronics design, integration and system commissioning, helping bring innovative renewable technologies from concept through to deployment.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop power electronic systems used in renewable energy applications
* Support integration of DC power systems, converters and inverters within solar energy platforms
* Contribute to system testing, validation and commissioning activities
* Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) of electrical systems
* Assist with validation activities including IQ / OQ protocols where required
* Troubleshoot electrical and power conversion systems during testing and deployment
* Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams including controls, mechanical and software engineers
* Produce clear technical documentation and commissioning records
About You
* Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience
* Experience working with power electronics, power conversion or energy systems
* Familiarity with inverters, converters, DC systems or solar power infrastructure
* Experience with testing, commissioning or validation of electrical systems
* Exposure to FAT, SAT, IQ or OQ processes would be advantageous
* If not directly experienced with these, background in system testing, validation or electrical commissioning would also be valuable
* Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with a practical engineering approach
