Summary

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Quality Engineer to support and maintain product and process quality within our electronics manufacturing operations. This role focuses on monitoring production quality, performing root cause analysis, supporting corrective actions, and ensuring compliance with applicable industry standards. The Quality Engineer will collaborate closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to drive continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

Product

& Process Quality
  • Develop and maintain inspection plans, control plans, and quality documentation.
  • Monitor production quality metrics such as yield, defect rates, scrap, and rework.
  • Conduct in‑process and final product audits (PCB assembly, SMT, electronic systems).
  • Support first‑article inspections (FAI) and new product introductions (NPI).
  • Analyze quality data and implement statistical process control (SPC) methods.
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
  • Lead root cause analysis using tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and FMEA.
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to closure.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma principles.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce the cost of poor quality (COPQ).
Supplier & Customer Support
  • Assist with supplier quality evaluations and incoming inspection processes.
  • Support supplier corrective action requests (SCARs).
  • Investigate customer complaints and support timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to improve product reliability.
Compliance & Documentation
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards such as ISO 9001 and IPC requirements.
  • Maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
  • Support internal and external audits as required.
  • Assist in maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in quality engineering within electronics manufacturing (PCB, SMT, or assembly preferred).
  • Knowledge of quality standards (ISO 9001, IPC-A-610, IPC-J-STD-001).
  • Experience with root cause analysis and statistical tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
