Arrow Engineering Components Ltd are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Weekend XYZ Proto

TRAK Miller / Turner to join our expanding engineering team.

This is NOT repetitive production machining.

The role involves:

• Emergency breakdown work
• One-off and low-batch precision machining
• Reverse engineering from samples
• Repair and modification work
• Problem-solving for food, packaging and process industries throughout Greater Manchester

We are looking for engineers who enjoy variety, thinking for themselves, and producing quality work under pressure.

PAY & SHIFT OPTIONS

OPTION 1 4 DAY WEEKEND SHIFT

• Friday to Monday
• 8:00am 4:00pm
• 37.5 hours per week
• £39,000 per annum

OR

OPTION 2 5 DAY SHIFT

• Thursday to Monday
• 8:00am 4:00pm
• 37.5 hours per week
• £48,750 per annum

MACHINES & FACILITIES

You will be working on a wide variety of equipment including:

• XYZ Proto
  
  TRAK ProTURN lathes
• XYZ Proto
  
  TRAK RMX Bed Mills
• Conventional manual machines
• Slotting and key seating equipment
• Fabrication and welding equipment
• Press brakes and general workshop machinery

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Essential:

- Time-served engineer

- Extensive XYZ Proto

TRAK turning and/or milling experience

- Able to program, set and operate independently

- Experience working from drawings, samples and sketches

- Strong problem-solving ability

- Experience with in one-off or low-batch precision engineering

Advantageous:

- Conventional machining experience

- Breakdown engineering environment

- Gear cutting / slotting / keyway work

- Welding or fabrication experience
