C and other UK and international infrastructure.

Apply your civil structural engineering expertise to lead design delivery, manage technical deliverables, and provide leadership across multidisciplinary projects.

• Lead a team of Civil Structural Engineers to deliver technical design work on complex multi-disciplinary projects following national and project-specific design codes and standards.
• Develop project design deliverables for civil structural elements of large-scale projects and work with the project management team to manage time, budgets, milestones and programmes.
• Manage production, review and approve technical deliverables such as design reports, drawings, calculations, and scopes of work.
• Provide technical leadership within the discipline for the regional and national D&AT practice, influencing initiatives and recommending best practices.
• Grow, develop and manage the civil structural engineering capabilities within the regional and/or national practice.
• Work independently with guidance, exercising judgment to solve difficult problems and guide junior team members.
• Advise client, operational, project or service activities within project teams and wider D&AT Practice initiatives.
• Manage or collaborate on technical aspects of bid proposals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer.
• Proven experience in leading large-scale civil structural engineering design delivery for a consultancy in a multi-disciplinary environment.
• Knowledge of reinforced concrete and steel structure design, with ability to identify innovative solutions and challenge the status quo.
• Proficient in design codes and standards, including CDM Regulations; familiarity with international codes such as American codes is beneficial.
• Experience with analytical software such as Tekla, Robot, or STAAD.
• Experience in nuclear energy or nuclear defence market is essential.
• Experience with dynamic or seismic design is beneficial.
• Proactive, highly motivated, collaborative mindset that drives teamwork and shared success.
• Excellent communication skills for conveying complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels internally and externally.
