Intermediate Electrical Engineer. LilyLifestyle

A well‑established building services consultancy is seeking an intermediate level electrical engineer to join their office in Manchester.

• Support Senior Engineers, Associates and Directors in electrical design work, producing design drawings, calculations (using Amtech, Hevacomp, IES, Relux and Dialux), reports, specifications and schedules, and system designs.
• Liaise with internal and external design team members and represent the business at meetings where appropriate.
• Carry out surveys of existing facilities and prepare survey reports.
• Assist in early‑stage design, load estimation and spatial allowance assessment for plant areas.
• Provide design calculations and develop design solutions that comply with recognised standards and Building Regulations (PartF, PartL and Section6).
• Help produce reports and supporting documentation required for BREEAM accreditation.
• Support project risk assessments to ensure safe installation, operation and compliance with CDM legislation.
• Produce CAD drawings and provide all support for satisfactory detail drawings for tender, construction or other purposes.
• Assist in preparing project specifications and schedules, adapting standard specification information where possible.
• Attend and contribute to design team and project meetings.
• Assist with site supervision duties to ensure works are installed in accordance with contract documentation and good engineering practice.
• Witness testing, proving and commissioning procedures of final installations as required.
• Contribute to the application and maintenance of all Integrated Management System procedures.
• Carry out personal management duties, including weekly recording of man‑hour commitments to individual projects.
