Our client is a growing manufacturing/ engineering business based in Salford. We are supporting with their recruitment for an Applications Engineering Manager to join the team and make a real difference to the business. Reporting into the Technical Manager, you'll play a leading role helping customers understand their requirements, and work closely with various business functions to ensure best in class service delivery.

The role is Monday to Friday, typical office hours.

• Lead the delivery, configuration, and lifecycle management of electrical engineering application solutions, ensuring alignment with customer operational and technical requirements.
• Provide technical pre‑sales support by translating customer needs into engineered application proposals, specifications, and system recommendations.
• Act as the primary liaison between engineering, sales, and customers to develop technically accurate and commercially viable solutions.
• Support business development activities through product demonstrations, technical presentations, and consultative sales engagement with clients and stakeholders.
• Supporting commercial team in customer meetings and providing input into technical marketing.
• Manage application projects from initial enquiry through commissioning, ensuring compliance with electrical standards, safety regulations, and customer expectations.
• Build and maintain long‑term customer relationships by providing ongoing technical support, troubleshooting assistance, and post‑installation application guidance.

• Electrical Engineering qualifications - ideally to degree level but HND as a minimum.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
• Solid technical skills - including ability to understand technical drawings.
• CAD experience & skills would be advantageous.
• Hands‑on approach with willingness to work closely with different teams.
• Natural problem‑solver and inquisitive by nature.
