Major Projects Electrical Lead – Salford / Speke

Major Projects Electrical Lead to join our Building Services Design team. Responsible for overseeing and coordinating electrical design for large, complex construction projects, ensuring technical excellence, team leadership, client liaison and sustainable, compliant and cost‑effective delivery.

• Lead management of all works delivered through the Electrical team, managing all aspects of building services engineering.
• Coordinate with Major Projects Mechanical Lead to ensure integrated solutions for all allocated works.
• Effectively manage team utilisation levels, balancing capabilities and resource levels with workload.
• Set, monitor and maintain standards for quality of product delivery, aligning all aspects to industry standards.
• Prepare designs and advice including feasibility, stage and condition reports.
• Provide high‑level technical advice in electrical building services engineering.
• Participate in project design meetings, establish solutions, agree concepts and work closely with colleagues and other design team members.

• Chartered Engineer and member of CIBSE or IET, with a degree in Mechanical Building Services or Electrical Engineering.
• Significant knowledge of the road tunnel industry.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts into more easily understood information for a wider business audience.
• Experience in the application of quality procedures and document control in engineering design.
• Ability to pass the BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) requirements.
