- Lead and deliver electrical building services designs across multiple sectors, ensuring robustness, compliance and innovation.
- Produce and oversee electrical calculations, reports, specifications, and tender packages.
- Act as a key contact for clients, project managers, architects and design partners, representing the business with confidence and professionalism.
- Guide, mentor and develop junior and intermediate engineers, building capability within the electrical discipline.
- Work closely with mechanical, sustainability, BIM and compliance specialists to deliver coordinated, high-quality solutions.
- Champion low-carbon thinking, energy efficiency and modern engineering approaches across all projects.
- Take ownership of project delivery, resource planning, design quality and client satisfaction.
- Play a strategic role in business development, proposals, and strengthening the firm's market reputation.
- Support the future direction of the electrical team as part of the succession pathway toward Associate Director.
- Proven experience as a Senior or Principal Electrical Design Engineer within a building services' consultancy.
- Strong working knowledge of relevant UK standards, regulations, and industry best practice.
- Proficiency in design and calculation software such as Amtech/Trimble, AutoCAD, Revit, and lighting simulation tools.
- A collaborative, people-focused leader who enjoys mentoring others.
- Confident communicator with the ability to manage client relationships and steer design reviews.
- Passion for sustainable design, net-zero strategies and technical excellence.
- Degree-qualified; IEng or CEng (or working towards) is highly advantageous.
