About the role
You will act as a design engineer as part of a wider team to deliver complex infrastructure projects, proposal development, undertake business development initiatives and provide hands‑on designs using FLOW and AutoCAD. You will work with others in the team and other disciplines and may be asked to mentor and coach earlier career engineers and support the sector and client leads across the business.
You will have a key role in project delivery and be expected to work under minimal guidance from senior team members to deliver designs.
- Design complex drainage infrastructure projects (Sc104, Sc278, feasibility studies, strategies, flood risk assessments).
- Develop proposals and tender packages.
- Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams and support project management.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers.
- Support business development and client relationships.
- Solid track record of delivering highway and infrastructure projects in the UK.
- Demonstrable knowledge of UK engineering guidance, hydraulic design standards and processes.
- Experience with hydraulic feasibility studies, detailed drainage strategies, flood risk assessments and Sc104 detailed design.
- Proficiency in FLOW (or similar) and AutoCAD.
- Achieved or working toward chartership with the Institute of Civil Engineers or similar.
- Full, current UK driving licence.
