We are looking for Geo-environmental Engineers to join our team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to become part of an established and expanding national geo-environmental business that provides ground investigation and geo-environmental consultancy services for a broad range of private and public sector clients in development, health, education, defence and infrastructure.
Core Capabilities- Technical ground investigation – confidently plan and supervise site investigations, log soils, coordinate laboratory testing and manage data quality to industry standards.
- Reporting & interpretation – produce concise, technically robust desk studies and interpretative reports.
- Project & site management – manage logistics, procurement and on-site teams efficiently; meet programmes and budgets while adapting to site constraints.
- Health, safety & compliance – apply strong HSE awareness on site, follow environmental controls and ensure work meets statutory and client requirements.
- Communication & collaboration – communicate findings clearly to engineers, clients and contractors; contribute to a collaborative team culture and mentor junior staff.
• Degree in geology, engineering geology or environmental science.
• Practical ground investigation experience including scoping, logging, monitoring and reporting.
• Full driving licence.
• Desirable: CAT/Genny, SSSTS/SMSTS, Water Hygiene, First Aid, CSCS card.
• Tailored training and development provided.
Manchester-based with approximately 50% site time. Hybrid working is available – typically two days in the office per week, with a flexible pattern to suit project needs. Occasional overnight stays and travel required.
