Our client is continuing to grow its presence in the North West, and we’re looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join their Manchester team. This is an opportunity to take a leading role in delivering high‑quality engineering solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects, while helping shape the future of our expanding civil engineering capability.
AboutAs a Senior Civil Engineer, you’ll be a key technical lead within the team, overseeing design delivery, guiding junior engineers, and working closely with clients and stakeholders. You’ll contribute to a wide range of civil and infrastructure projects across residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed‑use developments.
The role- Leading the design and delivery of civil engineering projects, including highways, drainage, earthworks, and infrastructure
- Producing and reviewing technical reports, drawings, and calculations
- Managing project programmes, resources, and budgets
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring to junior and graduate engineers
- Liaising with clients, local authorities, and multidisciplinary teams
- Preparing and overseeing planning submissions and Section 38/104/278 applications
- Ensuring designs meet UK standards, best practice, and sustainability objectives
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Significant experience within a consultancy environment
- Strong technical background in infrastructure design and relevant UK standards
- Proficiency with industry software such as Civil 3D, Micro Drainage/Info Drainage, and AutoCAD
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
- Chartered or actively working toward CEng/IEng status
