Job Description
We offer exciting opportunities across the UK & Ireland for graduates to join our Transport Planning Team. The role involves providing advice and support to address societal, environmental, and economic challenges. Projects cover transport strategy development, transport modelling and appraisal, feasibility studies, business case development, development planning, and monitoring & evaluation.
As part of a dynamic, collaborative team, you will assist in developing and communicating proposals for transport schemes and strategies. Early work will support senior staff with technical input to a variety of projects.
Responsibilities- Data collection and analysis
- Development of transport strategies and plans
- Developing and applying transport models
- Scheme development and appraisal
- Preparation of transport assessments for developments
- Preparation of business cases for transport schemes
- Assisting in the preparation of reports, presentations, bids and proposals
- Attending meetings and workshops with clients, other discipline members and stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, Economics, Maths, or an MSc in Transport Planning with a 2:1 class (or equivalent) or above
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, Economics, Maths, or Transport Planning an advantage
- Experience or modules in Transport Planning an advantage
- Good technical understanding of Transport Planning
- Demonstrated interest in developing a career in Transport Planning
- Willing and able to work towards chartership with the TPS, CIHT, or ICE
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to engage with clients, colleagues, stakeholders, and subcontractors
- Enthusiastic, hard‑working, with ambition and drive
- Ability to structure and prioritise work effectively with the team
- Independent and proactive while working in a team environment
