Start here. Grow here. Join our dynamic Water Team as a Principal Wastewater Modeller. You can be based in one of our UK or Ireland offices with a flexible hybrid working model. You will play a key role delivering water projects across the UK and internationally, including flood alleviation schemes, pollution reduction, and infrastructure developments. Our modelling team is integrated with wider project teams to develop comprehensive solutions, working with public and private sector clients.

We deliver Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies, Outline Business Cases, hydraulic models, and detailed designs. We aim to shape industry standards by advising and developing guidance that benchmarks best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, calibration and verification of wastewater network models (e.g., Info Works ICM or similar platforms).
  • Provide technical oversight and quality assurance across multiple projects, guiding wider project teams under general direction.
  • Undertake and oversee technical and administrative tasks of limited to moderate complexity related to hydrology and groundwater investigations to inform wastewater modelling studies.
  • Deliver assignments spanning the broader field of hydrology and related technical disciplines, working to defined project terms with appropriate professional review.
  • Analyse complex datasets and modelling outputs, preparing clear, high-quality technical reports and client deliverables.
  • Monitor and interpret data to assess the impacts of upstream activities on wastewater systems and the wider environment, ensuring compliance with permits and regulatory conditions.
  • Act as technical lead on major frameworks and modelling programmes, supporting strategic planning, storm overflow reduction, and network resilience initiatives.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members and contribute to bids and business development activities.
